The Embroiderers’ Guild of Victoria extends a warm, West Coast welcome to all who come to Victoria in May 2019 for a visit and stay to stitch among friends. This will be the fifth time that the Embroiderers’ Guild of Victoria has hosted an EAC Seminar.
Planning for “Beyond the Edge” has consumed us for the past two years. The annual Seminar will be held at the University of Victoria, situated on the traditional lands of the WSÁNEĆ (Saanich), Lkwungen (Songhees), and Wyomilth (Esquimalt) peoples of the Coast Salish Nation. The springtime gardens of Victoria will be in full bloom for your stay – with the rhododendrons especially resplendent in Finnerty Gardens on the grounds of the university. You might even be able to fit in a walk or two to view some of the flowers during the week of exciting classes and planned activities. We have four great tours to choose from on the free day as well as some interesting one-day classes.
Of course, all EAC members are encouraged to submit entries to the Members' Exhibition.
So, reserve the dates – May 14 to May 19, 2019 – and join us for “Beyond the Edge.” We look forward to meeting you and sharing our common passion for embroidery during a very special week.
