This exciting sampler of Florentine stitches can be worked in your colour choice, on 18-count mono canvas.  When all the stitching is complete, this design can be made into a delightful rectangular shaped pillow; would make a lovely picture; insert it into a serving tray or use it for a front panel of a bag.

The techniques for this design are canvaswork and florentine stitches worked in unusual ways. The stitches chosen for this design include:  four-way florentine, Greek key, diagonal flint arrows, and adorable turtles, to name a few.

Guideline for Student Levels

Beginners are those who need guidance in reading stitch patterns or who are new to the technique.

Intermediate students understand stitch patterns but may need guidance; have taken this technique or similar one at the beginner or basic level; have a beginning understanding of colour and design.

Advanced students read charts and stitch diagrams with ease, have a good understanding of stitch technique; have good understanding of colour and design. Must have taken an intermediate level course in the technique. Must be able to work independently.
